HELLO :) My name is Jo and I’m the founder of eco spawn.

Welcome to my humble little backyard, here amongst the hustle and bustle of the world wide web. It’s so lovely to have you here, visiting my little part of the world, hopefully feeling as inspired and motivated as I am to change the world…one baby step at a time.

Now, this is a story all about how eco spawn came to be and how it can help change your life and the lives of generations to come…

I grew up in Sydney, Australia. The value of living a natural, eco-friendly life wasn’t strictly imparted on me, but we did our best to reduce waste and be considerate towards the environment.

After I graduated, I entered the workforce and, after working in a variety of industries, across a range of different roles, my journey took me to Oxfam where I truly found my calling. I loved how it felt to give back to the people of the world, as well as the natural environment around me. After all, as human beings, we ARE part of the environment - I think we forget that sometimes.

Anyway, this is why I decided to bring eco spawn to life. I wanted to create a place for parents, grandparent, aunts and uncles to shop for the children in their lives. Also for their homes and themselves where they could look after all the things that were important to them and do right by Mother Nature at the same time.

In saying that, eco spawn isn’t just about buying eco-friendly products ALL the time. It’s about making small changes, each of us, day by day, that gradually amount to making a world of difference for us, our future generations and our beloved planet.

The items available through the eco spawn store all live by the motto “from little things, big things grow”. They have been chosen specifically for their sustainable, ethical and natural properties and the fact that they all, in some way, can help teach little minds (and not so little ones too) about the importance of caring for the big, wide world around them.

From my perspective, every little bit counts, big or small. Eco spawn isn’t about pushing an agenda or forcing people to use eco-friendly products. We're about providing options, informing minds and allowing people the choice to begin their journey into sustainable living at their own pace.
